Djo is the music project of Joe Keery, the actor best known as Steve Harrington in Stranger Things. He has released albums of thoughtful, synth-soaked indie pop, but one song has eclipsed everything else: "End of Beginning", a wistful track about the pull of returning to Chicago.
The strange part is how late it arrived. "End of Beginning" first appeared on his 2022 album DECIDE and went largely unnoticed. Then in early 2024 it exploded on TikTok, soundtracking millions of hometown videos, and climbed to number 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It found a second life in January 2026, when the Stranger Things finale sent it back up the chart to a new peak.
All that attention pooled into one song. "End of Beginning" now sits near 2.5 billion streams, while Djo's next biggest track, "Chateau (Feel Alright)", trails at under 200 million. The ratio between them is more than fourteen to one, well past our 5.0 threshold.
So by our measure Djo is a certified one-hit wonder, even as Joe Keery keeps making albums and the catalogue grows. The label reflects the shape of the streams, where one quietly released song became a generational moment years after the fact.
