Offset is a case that needs an immediate caveat. As one third of Migos, he helped define a whole era of hip-hop, with a string of huge group hits, and he has a busy solo and collaborative career besides. Calling him a one-hit wonder would make no sense in any normal conversation.
But our measure looks only at songs credited to him as a lead artist, and there one track dominates. "Ric Flair Drip", his 2017 single with the producer Metro Boomin, was a hard-hitting hit built around a chant borrowed from the wrestling legend, and it has far outstripped his other solo releases.
It sits near 1.9 billion plays, while his next biggest solo track, "Clout" with Cardi B, trails at around 346 million. That puts the ratio at about 5.62, over our 5.0 line.
So by our strict, numbers-only measure, and counting only his lead releases, Offset registers as a certified one-hit wonder. It is a reminder of the method's narrow lens: a central figure in modern rap can still, on his own solo streams, be carried by a single standout song.
