Hippie Sabotage are an American production duo, the brothers Kevin and Jeff Saurer from Sacramento, who first reached a wide audience through their remix of Tove Lo's "Habits (Stay High)". Their own breakout came with "Devil Eyes", a dark, hypnotic electronic track that became a brooding streaming and TikTok staple.
The duo have a substantial catalogue and a real fanbase in electronic circles, and they remain active. But on streaming, that one moody single has pulled clearly ahead of everything else they have made.
"Devil Eyes" sits near 956 million plays, while their next most-streamed track, "Your Soul", trails at around 120 million. That puts the ratio near 8, past our 5.0 line.
By our measure Hippie Sabotage are a certified one-hit wonder, with the caveat that applies to working producers with a deep catalogue. Their reputation rests partly on reworking other artists' songs, but it is one of their own dark, atmospheric tracks that has, on streams, come to define them above all the rest. The remixers became best known, in the end, for a track of their own.
